Апстракт: Recent years witnessed a number of interactions between topological data analysis and various areas of pure mathematics. More precisely, the theory of topological persistence found applications in symplectic and contact topology, geometric spectral theory, classical and complex analysis. We will give a survey of the rudiments of topological persistence and discuss some of these recent developments.
